AMADEUS Aurea A New Era in Luxury River Cruising

Launching in May 2026, the AMADEUS Aurea will feature an advanced hybrid propulsion system, a high-performance battery, and a heated outdoor pool, setting new standards for sustainable luxury cruising.

Continuing AMADEUS’s tradition of pioneering eco-friendly river cruise innovations, the AMADEUS Aurea represents the next step in our commitment to sustainable shipbuilding. With state-of-the-art propulsion technology and sophisticated design, this vessel embodies a “new generation on the river,” a concept first introduced with the successful launch of AMADEUS Nova in 2024.

The ship’s innovative hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system significantly reduces CO₂ emissions, while an advanced control and positioning system enhances efficiency. Solar panels generate additional power, and a heat recovery system optimizes energy use. Special glass paneling further minimizes heat loss and temperature fluctuations, enhancing onboard comfort.

At 135 meters in length, the AMADEUS Aurea will accommodate up to 158 guests as it navigates the scenic waterways of the Rhine and Danube. Across four decks, guests can enjoy 12 spacious balcony suites and 67 light-filled exterior cabins, most with drop-down panoramic windows. Elegant, wind-protected lounge areas, the open "Café Vienna" gallery, and the sun deck with a heated pool and Lido bar offer inviting spaces for relaxation. A dedicated massage and fitness area ensures well-being, while the heated outdoor pool is a true highlight, providing an unparalleled leisure experience on the river.
