CroisiEurope launches a brand new hotel barge cruise through the captivating Oise Valley in France

Europe’s largest river cruise operator, CroisiEurope, has launched a brand new hotel barge cruise through France’s beautiful Oise Valley which takes in numerous historic sites and provides an in-depth look into the country’s vibrant culture.

The six-night cruise operates between Pont-l’Évêque and Paris and visits Compiegne, Point-Sainte-Maxence, Saint-Leu-d’Esserent, Auvers-Sur-Oise, Pontoise and Bougival. Highlights include:

  • A visit to the Château de Malmaison, a magnificent residence bought by Josephine for her husband Napoleon Bonaparte, designed in the antique style by renowned 17th century architects.
  • Enjoy the works of pre- and post-impressionist artists at the Pissaro Museum in Pontoise.
  • Follow in the footsteps of Van Gogh at the Musée de l’Absinthe in Auvers-sur-Oise and learn about the café atmosphere influencing the artists at the time.
  • Discover one of the finest jewels in the crown of France’s cultural heritage on a visit to the Château de Chantilly which boasts some of the world’s great paintings by artists such as Botticelli, Raphael, Delacroix and Titian.
  • Pay your respects to those who sacrificed their lives over 100 years ago at the Armistice Memorial in Compiègne.
  • An onboard masterclass by a member of the Confrérie des Chevaliers Fouetteurs during which guests will learn to make the perfect crème Chantilly.

The cruise takes place on the MS Raymonde which features just 11 en-suite outward facing cabins, restaurant, lounge bar, sun deck and relaxation area with Jacuzzi. And, with six crew members including a talented chef serving up a variety of mouth-watering dishes, guests are guaranteed a truly personalised service.

The cruise will operate between May and October 2023 and 2024 with prices from £2,640 per person for the cruise with all meals and drinks onboard, excursions, use of onboard bicycles and port fees. Fly/cruise prices are also available.
