  • Virgin Voyages ship sailing
Virgin Voyages Announces the Brand’s Largest Celebration Ever Staged on the Open Ocean
Today, under the golden sunshine and surrounded by Sailors, First Mates, media, and Crew, Sir Richard Branson announced something the brand has never done before — and won't be done again quite like this.In 2027, all four Lady Ships are meeting at sea.On Feb. 16, 2027, the 100% kid-free Virgin Voyages will stage its largest celebration ever held on the open ocean. It will be the first time the brand has brought the entire fleet to a single coordinate at the same moment in recorded history.Scarlet Lady, Valiant Lady, Resilient Lady, and Brilliant Lady will converge at 22°12'57"N, 77°16'07"W in the Caribbean, 38 nautical miles north of Nuevitas, Cuba, with nothing but open water in every direction. Imagine more than 15,000 Sailors and Crew at one coordinate, nearly six years to the day after Scarlet Lady was first delivered. What makes it possible? A fleet large enough to create scale. Small enough to coordinate with precision. Operationally advanced enough to execute maritime convergence in open water. And a brand bold enough to attempt it.Virgin Voyages is all four.Virgin Voyages is calling it “Sisters at Sea.” It's a fleet milestone, yes. But it's also something harder to name: a feeling. A culmination. A love letter written in saltwater to every Sailor who showed up before it was easy.Picture it. Four mermaids rising on the horizon. Four ships converging on a single point in the open ocean — a synchronized horn salute echoing across the water, simultaneous deck parties on all four ships, broadcast-quality drone and aerial cinematography capturing everything from above. Music. Movement. The kind of collective exhale that only happens when you realize you're exactly where you're supposed to be.This is your invitation to be there.Announced today — live with the Happenings Cast performing "Sisters Are Doing It For Themselves" and the crowd already electric before a single word was spoken — the reveal was pure Virgin Voyages: bold, joyful, and unapologetically itself."When we launched Scarlet Lady, we had a vision, and that vision was always four ships but one community," said Virgin Founder Sir Richard Branson. "This fleetwide meet-up is that dream made real. At Virgin, we want to be the reason someone smiles today. Next year, 15,000 smiles at sea are guaranteed as we celebrate our brilliant Crew and the hundreds of thousands of Sailors who truly own this gathering. Thank you to each and every one of you for being the wind in our sails."Nathan Rosenberg, Chief Marketing Officer, added, "There are voyages, and then there are moments that are so epic they become lifelong memories. Sisters at Sea is the latter, and we have so much planned to blow your mind and make you laugh and cry with joy. When those four ships are on the water together, and we hear the collective cheers from every Crew member and Sailor, it will be proof that nothing is more powerful than the community that loves and supports you and that we are better together. If you are a part of our brand history, we invite you back to celebrate this incredible moment with us.”Four Ways to Be ThereSisters at Sea is built around this historic fleet gathering the promises to transform a sailing into something bigger. Travelers can experience it on the following four sailings:Sisters at Sea: Scarlet Lady — 5 nights from Miami, Feb. 15–20, 2027.A quick-hit Bahamas escape with time in Grand Bahama Island and a day at Virgin Voyages' exclusive Beach Club at Bimini.Sisters at Sea: Valiant Lady — 7 nights from San Juan, Feb. 13–20, 2027.Untouched Cabo Rojo on the Dominican Republic's southwestern coast, the vibrant shores of Samaná, and the turquoise flats of Grand Turk.Sisters at Sea: Resilient Lady — 7 nights from Miami, Feb. 14–21, 2027.Sun-drenched days in Progreso, the gateway to Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula, paired with stops in Grand Bahama Island and Virgin Voyages' Beach Club at Bimini.Sisters at Sea: Brilliant Lady — 10 nights from Miami, Feb. 8–18, 2027.An island-hopping journey through the Eastern Caribbean, with calls in St. Maarten, Tortola, St. Croix, San Juan, and Puerto Plata. More islands, more sea days, more everything. From One Ship to Four — and Still Just Getting StartedSisters at Sea marks the brand's most significant loyalty moment to date, designed to reward the Red Hot Sailing Club community and First Mates who have sailed, advocated and championed Virgin Voyages from the very beginning. The announcement comes just before the brand's first-ever West Coast debut next month, a milestone that signals just how far Virgin Voyages has come and how much further it intends to go. For those on board in February 2027, an exclusive preview of the brand's future roadmap will be shared at sea before anywhere else. 20 March, 2026

Disney Believe Announced as Next Disney Cruise Line Ship
New details about the next Disney Cruise Line ship, including the vessel’s name and design theme, were announced today at the 2026 Walt Disney Company Annual Shareholders Meeting by Chief Executive Officer Josh D’Amaro during his historic first day at the helm of the company.Fittingly revealed during an exciting moment of optimism and transformation for the company, the next ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet will be named the Disney Believe, honoring the dreamers and doers who dare to pursue their own happily ever after. The Disney Believe is the fourth installment in Disney Cruise Line’s groundbreaking Wish class that has redefined family vacations at sea. A signature design feature of the Wish class is each ship’s distinctive motif — an imaginative theme that shapes every part of the guest experience, from live entertainment to venues and décor. Like its sister ships – the enchantment-themed Disney Wish, adventure-themed Disney Treasure and heroes and villains-themed Disney Destiny – the Disney Believe has its own unique story to tell: one of promise and possibilities.Filled with powerful stories of Disney characters who believe in themselves, in their dreams, and in the promise and possibility of a better tomorrow, the Disney Believe will bring to life the magical worlds of “Encanto” and “Frozen,” the wishing wells of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” and the depths of the sea with “Moana” and “The Little Mermaid” like never before. There is more growth happening across Disney Experiences now than ever before in the company’s history. Joining the fleet during this unprecedented expansion, the Disney Believe builds on the Disney Cruise Line legacy of blending immersive storytelling with cutting-edge technology to create one-of-a-kind vacation experiences like only Disney can do. The ongoing expansion will grow the fleet to 13 ships by 2031, including the Disney Adventure, which sailed its maiden voyage from Singapore on March 10; the Disney Believe, expected in late 2027; the introduction of a brand-new class of ships in 2029; and an agreement with Disney and Oriental Land Co., Ltd. (OLC) to introduce Disney cruise vacations to Japan in 2029. 18 March, 2026
